About Me — Jafar Novruz, PMHNP-BC
Neuro-Integrative Psychiatry • Longevity Medicine • Mind–Body Healing
I founded Future Psychiatry with a belief that mental health care should be deep, personal, integrative, and future-driven. My approach blends advanced psychiatry, neuroscience, metabolic and nutritional psychiatry, and Eastern healing traditions — designed for clients who want more than symptom relief. They want clarity, resilience, and long-term vitality.
My journey started long before this practice.
I immigrated to the United States alone in 2013, carrying a vision of creating a life rooted in purpose, service, and healing. That experience taught me discipline, emotional strength, and the importance of understanding the whole person — their culture, their story, and their inner world.
As a trilingual clinician fluent in English, Russian, and Turkish, I’ve always believed language shapes healing. It allows me to connect with clients across cultures and emotional landscapes, understanding nuances that often get lost in translation.
How My Clinical Philosophy Was Born
During my residency training in integrative psychiatry, I worked full-time while completing full-time graduate-level coursework. I eventually experienced profound burnout — insomnia, stress, and depressive symptoms — and had to rebuild myself from the inside out. Through neuroscience, lifestyle optimization, nutrition, metabolic healing, sleep science, and mind–body work, I healed — fully.
That journey changed how I practice today. I learned that healing is not purely biochemical; it is emotional, relational, metabolic, and deeply human. This lived experience allows me to support clients with empathy, precision, and grounded understanding.
Professional Formation & Achievements
My professional development has centered on high-level psychiatric, integrative, and neuroscience-based expertise.

As part of my passion for longevity medicine, I collaborated with Columbia-affiliated scientific labs alongside my co-founder, Kevin Lin (M.A. Biotechnology, Columbia University), which led to the creation of Future Life Lab, a biomarker-based wellness and longevity laboratory.
A Foundation in Science and Art
Before I ever entered the mental health field, I spent more than 10 years studying and performing the flute — playing in orchestras and exploring the neurobiological and emotional impact of sound. This artistic background continues to shape my work today. I believe in the therapeutic power of rhythm, resonance, and healing frequencies — and I integrate this philosophy into a calm, grounded, and deeply human clinical presence.
